About Us

Bees, women, and candles have powered the earth for millennia.

We help you carry on that legacy.

Throughout history, three things have metaphorically kept the world turning.

Without bees, crops would not be pollinated.

Without women, new life would not be created.

And without candles, the world would sit in darkness.

With each drip of our candles, we honor the bees that provide the wax and the women that serve as our muses.

Honeybees dance between this world and the next.

They are prophecy holders, dream bearers, and our biggest collaborators.

Bees have long been regarded as prophets that brought messages from the dream world. In ancient times, they were seen as sacred beings, and their honey was revered as a heavenly gift. Mother Madre Bees carries on the legacy of honoring the bees, respecting the art of beekeeping, and caring for Mother Earth.

How We Make Our Candles

Extract Wax

We only collect wax from our hives when the bees allow us to—never using harmful methods.

Distill Wax

Our wax is processed as little as possible in order to retain its natural color, scent, and air-purifying properties.

Pour Candles

Every candle is hand-poured at our studio in Idaho, ensuring no wax is wasted in the process.

The Mother of Mother Madre Bees

The Mother of Mother Madre Bees

The founder of Mother Madre Bees, Finnigan, began hand-pouring candles as she was struggling to get pregnant. Lighting candles and repeating affirmations became part of her routine to connect with herself, love her body, and accept what the future had in store for her family.
The Name

The Name

The name Mother Madre Bees pays homage to Finnigan’s mother, her Hispanic heritage, and the power that female relationships hold.
The Legacy

The Legacy

Finnigan lives in rural Idaho, where she homesteads with her partner. Her land is home to several beehives, which she cares for with the utmost respect and love. She learned the art of beekeeping from other female beekeepers and is proud to carry on their legacy.

Two lovers intertwined

So much of my fertility journey has been focused on myself. When I saw the candle of the two lovers intertwined, it remined me that it's not just my journey, but my journey with my husband.

It is about us together. And my womb is not just my house, but our house together. It is also so incredibly sensual, but it also made me feel loved and cared for. But mostly, held and that is what my husband does for me.

I think I temporarily forgot and it has felt so on me, but it's not! I have support, and
that's what I was reminded of. The candles have always been a woman on her own and that's an important part of the journey. But to get the two together... it felt like a grand finale to me! The candles are just magical.
